I was trying to figure out an easier way to show all of my different projects that I have created over the life of my blog.  If you follow me, you will see that I have had a project gallery page sometimes okay hardly never.  I just could not get any of that darn code to work out.  It would be good and I would change one little thing.  One little thing and everything would be ruined.  I just could not take it anymore. Flash forward to now.  I found a program that let’s me post to my Blogger account (even with the new API settings) and arranges everything nice and pretty for me without me having to touch even the slightest bit of code.  Open Live Writer , if you do not have it yet I highly recommend it for blogging.  I cannot wait to go and edit some of my older posts.  It’s free and super easy to set up.  If you can use Microsoft office, you can use this.  All of the features that are lacking in Blogger’s editing interface are here and perfect. Recently I have been participating in Facebook auctions.  If you are unsure of what those are, it is a group of people that all live in the same area and agree to meet weekly to exchange items we purchased through virtual auctions.

I will make two or three batches of this recipe over baking a cake from scratch every day of the week. If you can boil water you can do this. The process is just like cooking most other things. When not cooked fully, it will be soggy. If you cook it too long, it will be dry. Sometimes it takes a batch or two to figure it all out.

I have done some previous work with polymer clay.  Mostly making polymer canes to attach to my crochet hooks so that I can make these awesome handles.   I figured I would try my hand at a little sculpting and this is the second figurine I have come up with.  My first figurine was Cartman from South Park .  Unfortunately I knocked him off my dresser and he broke.  It is okay, he was not great to begin with hehe. The only "tool" I used for this projects was a knitting hook.  I have not bought any fine grade sandpaper yet so my texture is not quite as smooth as I would like it to be.  I also did not have any blending tools so I was not able to get a good blend in the smaller areas of the elephant.

A new scarf for all of you just in time for the last little bits of winter.  This design is made with 3 different colors of worsted weight yarn.  You can pick any yarn of your choosing.  The pattern looks complex but in reality, it is quite simple.  Using the 3 colors help give the pattern more dimension but a single color could also be used. I originally wrote this pattern as a woman's scarf but as I showed my friends some of my finished crochet projects, we have all concluded that this scarf could also be considered unisex.  The pattern is also airy, it may not be the best in below 0 F temperatures but as spring is coming soon, this is a great scarf for that transitional period between winter and spring.  Or crochet it in shades of brown and red, put it up for fall. Good Evening Everyone! First let me say, excuse any grammar or spelling mistakes in this post.  It was composed on my phone and my thumbs are not best typists. Some might say I am obsessed.  I found a pattern (it was actually for perler beads) I kinda liked.  I altered the color scheme for the embroidery threads in my collection. Here at CassandraCae Crochet, a few changes are going to be happening in the next weeks.  After much thought, time, and feedback I have decided to change the name of this blog to "That Crafty Girl From Ohio." With the name change comes a fun new logo change. This is the same great website but with a few more added features and topics.  I spend a lot of time making things.  So that I may create more posts and tutorials for all of you, I decided to spread out and now I will be writing about a lot more things.
