Free Crochet Pattern Round Up --- Stuff For Cleaning

Okay, I am a little late when it comes to spring cleaning, ya know with it almost being June and all, but it is never to late in the year to change your boring daytime rituals with new accessories.

All of these free crochet patterns are hear to help you clean your home with style.  I choose the patterns in this roundup because they are all extremely unique.

This is not just a round up of dishcloths, though I do include some interesting ones, I tried to include other patterns you may find handy around the kitchen and throughout the rest of your home.

Each pattern was chosen specifically because of it's style or functionality.

Make cleaning fun with this free crochet pattern
collection that features cleaning supplies.

1.  Chevron Kitchen Towel by B.hooked Crochet

The style of this Kitchen Towel will blow you away.  I love the black and red this designer originally choose but any colors could be picked to suit your needs.  These along with some dishcloths would make a great gift set.

2.  Flower Power Dishcloth by Doni Speigle

I think these flowers sitting next to my kitchen sink for those quick cleanups would be mush more cute than your standard dish cloth.  These are a must.  You might even be able to convince children to clean up their messes with these flowers.

3.  Spiral Scrubbie by Judith Prindle

Everyone needs a good scrubber.  I like the ridges on this one in particular as I think it would be really good at getting at grime on more delicate cookware.

4.  Kitchen Sponge (Scrubber) by Book People Studio --

I don't typically use sponges because of the germs but what could be better than a washable version.  Book people studio has created just that item.  A washable crocheted sponge.

5.  Waffle Crochet Dishcloth by Chip Flory

A dishcloth that looks so yummy you almost want to eat it.  The ridges on this dishcloth are also good for scrubbing away grime on delicate dishes and

6.  Reversible Swiffer Sock by Linda Permann

I have seen Swiffer covers in the past but none with ridges quite like this.  I really like the design of this pattern and I feel it would do a really good job at dusting the floors.  It will also save lots of money as you will no longer have to pay for refills.  These are washable.

7.  Tunisian Pebbles Dishcloth by Tamara Kelly

From Moogly, this Tunisian pebbles dishcloth is uses a really unique stitch that I rarely see but always intrigues me.  It also comes with a video tutorial if you are unfamiliar with Tunisian crochet.

8.  Wet Jet Mop Cover by Amanda Costa

The easy to use floor mops are great but the refills are really expensive.  I was really excited to come across these Wet Jet Mop crochet covers so that I could start saving money on buying those pads.  I have to cats and it seems we go through them far to fast.

9.  Crochet Felted Wool Dryer Balls by Janelle Wood

I cannot wait to make these and try them out when I do my laundry.  These dryer balls work as a chemical free fabric softener.  Depending on how soft you like your clothing, you add more dryer balls.  I am going to soak mine in my favorite fabric softener and use it like a dryer sheet.  I will let you all know the results of my experiment.

10.  Nylon Net Scrubbies by Melanie Larsen

One cannot have enough scrubbers.  They really have a lot of uses around the home.  This pattern was intriguing because of the texture.  I really like the texture of the material used to make them and the texture created by the different crochet stitches.

Pink Pineapple Doily Free Crochet Pattern

Hello and Greetings Everyone I know I haven't been around a lot to post lately but with the holidays, well everyone knows how that goes... But I am back and I have a new crochet pattern to share, it's called the Pink Pineapple Doily. The original pattern appeared in 1951 in the publication Star Book No. 87, Doilies, Doilies, Doilies. For a printer friendly and editable version of this post, scroll down to the bottom and click the button that says "Print Friendly." I am absolutely in love with this doily. It looks like a very complex pattern but if your are just starting to make doilies and other crochet goods this is a great pattern to learn how to read other, more complex patterns. Decorating your home with crochet doilies can add a touch of vintage and handmade charm to any space. Start by considering the size and color of the doilies you would like to use. Crochet doilies come in a variety of sizes and colors, so you can choose to match your existing

5 Interesting Non Traditional Crochet Square Patterns

I absolutely love to crochet squares.  The very first crochet pattern I ever learned by heart was the granny square.  Even now, years and years later, when I am bored and I just want to crochet for the pure joy of crochet, the granny square is my go to pattern.  I know many other crocheters out there feel the same way and that's why crocheting squares is so popular.  There are so many square patterns out there, a crocheter could never complete them all in a life time.  I decided to search up a few really awesome squares and I felt were unique but still reminded me of that classic pattern I love so much.  These are the patterns that I found.  The stained glass afghan pattern costs a $1.99 but the rest of the patterns listed here are completely free and they are featured on the blogs of other designers.  All of these designs are now additions to my crochet bucket list.
