Free Crochet Pattern Roundup -- Crochet Bags

It is the perfect day to crochet.  It snowed here in Ohio last night.  My road is still covered. Where yesterday I could see little bits of grass peaking up through the snow, now I just see more white, there to replace a little bit of what melted over the last few days.  I cannot complain too much as winter has been fairly calm this year.

This bag is geometrically intriguing.  I love the design and the yellow streak just makes the bag electric.  It also seems to be a solid design which won't need a lining unless you really want to add one. 

2.  Plupp Bag

The layered look of this bag is amazing.  I also really like the how the closure was designed.  This crochet bag is also solid and does not need lined. Sometimes adding a lining to your crochet bags can be quite time consuming so a pattern that doesn't require a lining is always a plus.

3.  Bouquet of Roses Purse

This purse is a work of art.  It looks really complicated but there are lots of diagrams provided in the tutorial to make the assembly of this purse much easier than one would anticipate.  This purse would be great to carry during a wedding in place of a bouquet.

4.  Small Gift Bag

The Small Gift Bag is great for gift giving and cab be used for other things too.  The person receiving this bag will carry it around for years to come.  This would also be a great bag for a stylish young lady.

5.  Mile-a-Minute Soft Tote

5 Interesting Non Traditional Crochet Square Patterns

I absolutely love to crochet squares.  The very first crochet pattern I ever learned by heart was the granny square.  Even now, years and years later, when I am bored and I just want to crochet for the pure joy of crochet, the granny square is my go to pattern.  I know many other crocheters out there feel the same way and that's why crocheting squares is so popular.  There are so many square patterns out there, a crocheter could never complete them all in a life time.  I decided to search up a few really awesome squares and I felt were unique but still reminded me of that classic pattern I love so much.  These are the patterns that I found.  The stained glass afghan pattern costs a $1.99 but the rest of the patterns listed here are completely free and they are featured on the blogs of other designers.  All of these designs are now additions to my crochet bucket list.

I have finally done it.  I have finally created the post that I have always wanted to make about crochet bags. It took lots of research and lots of searching but I have a collection of 18 crochet bags that are ready for you to make today. All of these patterns are completely and 100% free.   None of the patterns require you to subscribe to a website or a newsletter to view them.   They are either provided on the designer's own website or as a download from Ravelry.
